SHARE YOUR BLESSINGS!

Many wealthy people probably donate $$$$ to various charities and causes, and by doing this, the universal "law of increasing returns" kicks in, and the money comes back to them tenfold (in currency or as an equivalent benefit): Plant a seed, reap a bushel.

It's been said that a rich man cannot give all his money away--it keeps coming back to him. This is the misrepresented biblical law of tithing that few people understand. The Bible doesn't say that whatever we give comes back, but look how many times that book has been revised.

You don't believe it works? Try it for yourself. Give whatever you can to a worthy cause, and don't worry about it coming back. It will. A $1 donation somewhere is worth $10 received in return. I've done this many times. Just give, then forget it. If you keep thinking about it, it stays in your force field and can't go where intended.

Caution: If you tell yourself it won't work, then it won't work for you. Just give from a loving heart and watch it return.

Merry Christmas and a bountiful New Year!

VR vs. REAL LIFE

I’ve often believed that the massacres in the United States these past few years are caused partly by the increasing use of violent video games, books, movies, and TV programs in the guise of entertainment, via mind control. Advertisers know how this works, and they spend thousands of dollars to create ads and shows that appeal to humans’ base instincts (subconscious urges, behavior, or intuition directed by primeval, animalistic, self-serving, or ignoble motivations) in order to hawk their wares, their published works, or to increase their viewers. Millions of people see those ads and may unconsciously remember them when out shopping. Which brand is best? Why, of course, it’s the most popular ads on TV that tell us to go right out and buy this car or that car, this insurance or that one, etc. It’s stuck in their subconscious because they’ve seen the ads so many times. Violent book covers, for example, stand out from the thousands of mundane covers in bookstores, because violence and sex sells books, movies and television programs.

It is well known that repetition of a thought, image, or action is how humans learn—from birth, kindergarten through high school, college and beyond. We learn by rote, and practice makes perfect, right? In gymnastics, dancing, and many types of sports, students are taught to visualize their actions, their performances, and see in their mind’s eye their goals accomplished. In truth, we are what we think, what we see, and what we do. This is how our personalities are shaped throughout life. Whatever the mind of man can see and believe can be achieved. Remember those powerful words by writer-lecturer, Napoleon Hill, in his book, Think and Grow Rich.  Belief in a thing is powerful, as described in Claude A. Bristol’s book, The Magic of Believing. These two books can change your life. But the direction you want to go is up to you. You must be careful what you put into your conscious and subconscious minds. And if you don’t believe this, then beg, buy, or borrow a copy of Subliminal Seduction to see how it works. Then notice how many companies still use this form of mind control, even though the use of subliminal messages in ads was supposedly outlawed a good many years ago. (Someone ran off with my old copy of that book, so I can’t tell you offhand what year it was.) Needless to say, it was an eye-opener!

How does Virtual Reality (VR) fit into this topic? Bear with me—I’m getting there, but first I think some of my background might aid your understanding of the situation, and the reason I’m so concerned about what may be happening before our very eyes. But in the pursuit of fun and entertainment, many people, especially young folks, may unknowingly be led astray.

Most of my adult life, I’ve been a serious student and practitioner of Extra Sensory Perception (ESP). I have experimented with and studied various techniques of mind control, and throw in auras and astral projection (without drugs)—the latter which scared the devil out of me before I learned how natural it was, and that many people through the centuries claimed to have had out-of-body experiences; there are many published accounts of people having seen someone in one location when they were actually somewhere else. One thing I have learned: The mind is nothing to mess with unless you’ve educated yourself about the very real risks.

A few years ago, I read a personal account written by a developer of VR games. Unfortunately, I neglected to save that article, but recall much of what the author said. The man explained in great detail how he is able to insert subliminal messages and images into a game without anyone being aware of them. It sounded to me like he was very acquainted with subliminal seduction. It’s a frightening thought that a player may believe he’s just having fun playing a game, when in reality, he may be getting seriously brainwashed. The point is, we have no way of knowing what may be embedded in some games or how dangerous they may be. I don’t see an occasional user being negatively influenced by any invisible, embedded ideas, but a habitual player who is addicted to VR games may—if he plays enough—become unable to tell real life from the virtual environment he has entered.

Some investigators are coming to the conclusion that VR can turn your sense of reality inside out, and that VR has the ability to rewire the brain and enhance neural connections that are needed for learning and memory.

So, what does all that have to do with the increase in mass killings in this country? I believe that if someone constantly plays violent, shooting/slashing/killing VR games—especially someone with an undiagnosed mental illness, or a loner with a grudge—that person may be a candidate for a real-life killing spree, because his mind has become saturated with virtual situations, and something he sees, hears, or thinks triggers a VR war game he’s played, and he can’t tell real life from the so-called entertainment he’s become so familiar with. All he needs is a weapon to carry down the street, into a building, a store, or whatever, to fulfill his fantasy. It can happen. It may have already happened. And who’s to blame—the person who played a “fun” game not knowing it could be booby-trapped, or the game developer who thought players would have fun killing people? What kind of evil would lurk in those persons' minds? The easy availability of guns is only part of the problem; the source may be violence in the guise of entertainment. It’s something to think about. Perhaps the games, TV, and movies need to be regulated, or game developers should be required to show absolute proof that their games are free of subliminal messages.

And don’t forget mass mind—the more people who see and think of a situation, the better the chances of it breaking out in society. It’s not simply one person lazing about on a sofa controlling their joysticks; it’s the accumulation of perhaps thousands of others doing the same thing—filling their minds with violent trash then laughing when a virtual character gets their head blown off.

GOD - CREATION - WAR

There are many different religions worshiping the same Creator, but most of them believe they're God's chosen people. The Ten Commandments states: Thou shall not kill... but is it all right for humans to kill each other because they don't worship your god? I don't think so. But if that's the case, I think it's motivated by pure jealousy, perhaps on the unconscious level. My god is better than your god; my god loves me more than he loves you, etc.

The creator gave humans a mind and the ability to think and reason. I did not live all these years and not learn somethingI have studied and meditated, and therefore choose to walk my own path and not follow the sheep.

And if you think your thoughts don't affect other minds, then you know nothing about the collective unconscious: All minds are connected, and what affects one affects all the others.

There are too many gods and too many religions all professing to be the anointed ones. In my humble opinion, if that's the way you think and believe, you're in deep trouble.

FASHION NONSENSE

When  I lived in Los Angeles in the 1950s, I signed up for a modeling course with the John Robert Powers modeling agency, and although I did not complete that course, I learned enough about grooming and fashion sense to be able to state my case today.

What on Earth do some of today's women hope to accomplish by disfiguring themselves with tattoos, multicolored, wild hair styles, nose and lip rings, outrageous makeup, and costumes unfit for decent company? You know what I mean. Everywhere I look, I see women dressed appropriately for freak shows. Have they no pride in their appearance? Have they no fashion sense? Apparently not; they seem content to follow the trends that change from year to year.

It was my husband's idea for me to take the course. I did not aspire to be an actress or model; I was satisfied to be a bank bookkeeper for many years. However, I'm grateful for the opportunity the modeling course gave me to improve my appearance, my wardrobe, my walk, makeup and articulation (though they failed to change my Missouri accent, so I'm stuck with a southern twang!).

Fashions have indeed changed, and not always for the better. Women will still buy clothes the designers tell them to buy. For example, one year they may feature a certain color or style, say the color red. Many items  they come out with that year will be red (or another shade of red). But the following year, the featured color may be orange, yellow, or green. These are known as fad colors, and if you're not careful, you may end up with nothing that goes with those colors. Your closet may resemble a paintbox full of colors you can't combine.

So here's the way modeling students at JRP agency were taught to dress when I was there. (They may have changed their rules since then.) You can ignore this if you don't go anywhere; you can run around naked in your own home or dress like a circus clown. Nobody will see you. But if you go to a dressy business affair, you'd better dress like you know what you're doing!

Here are some basic lessons I was taught that I'd like to pass on,  before humans end up wearing animal skins or simply their "birthday suits," which is possibly the worst thing they can do in this day and age. So many people around us are already very close to reverting to prehistoric garments, even wearing them to formal events. Have they no shame?

1.    John Robert Powers on wearing cosmetics when I was there: We weren't going to apply makeup, we were going to "make down," which meant our faces were going to look lovely but natural when we're done, instead of thick layers of the wrong shade on your skin. To find your perfect base color, dab a bit of foundation on the inside of a wrist; it should match that color. You don't want your face to resemble a peach if you're not a peach. Always use a light touch when applying makeup and blend it well.

2.     Buy the best you can afford in these basic colors and fabrics that will last for years: Black, Brown, Gray, Navy. Say, a nice wool winter coat in one of the basic colors, and maybe a gray or camel dress coat for warm weather; a suit or nice business dress or pants in another basic color (I chose black). So you think you'll get tired of those plain colors? Nope. This is where those annual "fad" colors come in that designers are counting on you splurging on. When you accessorize your basic ensemble with those fad colors, you can end up with a completely new look! Accessorize with bright scarves, jewelry, purses, hats, gloves, whatever. But buy the best you can afford of the basic items, because you're going to wear them for years! Don't waste your money on fad items that won't go with anything else.

3.     SHOES: I was taught to buy a very good brand of black suede dress pumps (or flats if you can't wear heels), because they go with anything. No ribbons, bows, or other ornaments on these dress shoes. But for very formal affairs, you can choose a fancier shoe to go with your gown if you like, though it'll probably be hidden by the dress.

4.    Here are things to keep in mind when buying dresses, blouses, shoes, etc:

Vertical lines are slimming; horizontal lines are fattening (unless you're a beanpole).

Seriously, if you're short and on the hefty side, do not buy clothes with WIDE horizontal stripes or large patterns (flowers, squares, circles, etc.).

Also, do not wear wide belts, ribbons or chokers on your neck because you'll look like your head is cut off. The same goes for ankle-strap shoes. Ankle-straps will cut your feet off and make you look shorter. Tall, slim women can get by with this; many others can't.

The message to take home from this is simple: vertical lines give the illusion of height; horizontal lines make you wide. If you're already wide, why would you want to look wider?

I left the classes before we got to hair and hair styles. Nearly any color is fine for your hair, depending on skin tones. But for God's sake, please ditch the nursery-school, paint-box colors, the florescent, spiky comic-book colors, purple or pink stripes . . . unless you work in a carnival.

Namaste!

TILL DEATH DO US PART?

Do married couples meet in the afterlife when they both expire? Consider this scenario: A member of this human race has been deceased for a number of months or years, and very often, when their spouse dies, people say, “Oh, now they’ll be together again!” They believe the couple will continue as they were on Earth, bound together by their wedding vows. Most marriage ceremonies include this statement: Till death do us part. I assume that means in this life, although the Bible mentions the believers passing from Death to Life. John 5:24.

Since many marriages are long-lasting (think Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter), some people automatically assume their unions will continue in the afterlife—perhaps forgetting that the couple will no longer be flesh and blood humans with physical bodies. However, the reality may or may not be true. We don’t know for sure if their spirits and human personalities survive death and reconnect on the other side. (Having had a few astral experiences myself, I have reason to believe they may, but I have no proof.)

In my opinion, the situation could change if either person had been married more than once: Do they meet their latest spouse when they die? Or do the former spouses also show up to meet the recently deceased? For example, one of my grandmothers had been married three times (that I know of). Would all three of my ex-grandfathers have been among her welcoming committee when she passed? Suppose those men had also remarried—would their wives and former wives accompany them to welcome his latest spouse, and would they bring their previous mates?

Suppose those extra spouses had hated their wives or husbands during their earthly marriages. What then? Will everyone simply get along with each other because they’re now spirits? Would they still have the same personalities? We can take the question a little further and ask if this is possible if a certain spouse had physically abused or murdered his/her physical wife. Would she welcome his presence, or would he not be there at all? Perhaps he wouldn’t be allowed to welcome a former mate whose life he’d ended in a fit of anger.

The welcoming gate would need to open wide to admit all the deceased spirits related to the new arrival—plus their own former earthly spouses. The situation could become very crowded indeed, especially if the extra spirits were accompanied by their own former spouses. I assume everyone will know everyone else, but that’s a lot of memory for such a crowd of possibly trillions of ex-spouses! And would those who had disliked their spouses on Earth still dislike them, or would death give them a sudden change of heart so they held no grudges? If they still harbor bad feelings or even hatred toward their exes, I can see many arguments erupting among the masses of deceased wives, husbands, ex-spouses, and their ex-spouses way back to Adam and Eve—with everyone yelling and arguing and fighting at once. Such a scene could not possibly be called heaven.

I believe the situations I’ve just described would not be possible, and here’s why: We are bits of intelligent, pulsating energy that the universe is composed of. If we take on material bodies at birth just to experience (or learn) how it feels to operate in solid, physical bodies, we would likewise shed those temporary bodies when we’re done with them but likely retain the knowledge and lessons learned while in a material form … and once again become the intelligent bits of pulsating energy and Atoms that continually create the Cosmos.

You decide.
