When Does News Stop Becoming News?

There's been some disagreement between journalists and citizens recently as to how much "news" the media can or should provide our citizens. It's fine to say that our leaders lie. But to post or state the actual lies over and over and over is no longer "news" but borders on mass mind control. News is something new that we haven't heard before.

By spreading someone's lies all across the Internet so thousands and thousands of people can see and read them, well, that's helping to spread those lies, and plays right into the hands of the liars. Repetition of words, thoughts, or ideas is how brainwashing is accomplished.

Journalists say it's their duty to report the news - I understand that - but much of what we're seeing today is not "new"; it's just repeated and shared with all the other news outlets, until - like a virus - it eventually becomes fact for some. Weak or uneducated minds will unconsciously pick up the lies and spread them. Someone who is slumped half asleep in front of a TV gets a direct dose of whatever message is projected at him, because his subconscious mind is awake and easier to reach in a state of drowsiness. (Even if the sound is turned down.)

People who have actually observed and studied brainwashing techniques are better equipped to protect themselves and others - if those others will listen and understand. I'm one of those people who has investigated how mind control works, and I understand how easily it can sink its claws into vulnerable individuals. However, under the right circumstances, even highly intelligent persons can become brainwashed if they're not careful.

Some of what we're seeing today is straight out of Mein Kampf. Best to spread positive messages instead of negative ones.

Also: Subliminal Suggestion  (A pricey book, but worth the read. Maybe your public library has a copy.)

Until next time,
Namaste!
